Experts from Romania could expand their knowledge on water as a central topic on this event. Tuesday began on the South Pest Wastewater Treatment Plant operated by the Budapest Sewage Works Pte Ltd. (FCSM). The event was opened by Eszter Tanka, Head of the Green Economy unit, Cristina Badulescu and Győző Barabás, Environmental Management Directorate Deputy Director. During the mornings we heard interesting presentations from the invited performers:
In the afternoon, Katalin Kiss introduced the technology used in wastewater treatment and then showed around us into the site.
On Wdnesday, we visited the North Pest Wastewater Treatment Plant of FCSM where Attila Bodnár, co-funder of Organica, presented their innovative wastewater technology. At the moment more than 90 plants are operating or being under construction worldwide. After the interesting and meaningful presentation, we had the opportunity to see the green and flowering plants that look like greenhouses, where symbiosis of plants and microorganisms makes clean water from the wastewater.
We hope that the participants have gained valuable knowledge; we would like to thank the invited performers for the presentations and FCSM and Organica Water staff for the assistance.
