IFKA’s Green Economy team visited Italy, Padova in 9-10th October 2018 related to CIRCE2020 project. The meeting was organized by APRAV and ETRA, we would like to thank you it here!
We started the meeting with a review of past and future tasks, and each project partner presented their waste streams, the plans and difficulties. As the next phase of the project is the comparison of current and planned waste management solutions and find an appropriate alternative, so the partners' LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) and LCC (Life Cycle Cost Analysis) experts were also involved. We spent the afternoon with LCC training, which was held by Balázs Sára who is the expert of the other Hungarian project partner – Bay Zoltán Applied Research Nonprofit Ltd. The day was closed with an amazing Italian dinner.
In the next day, LCA was in the focus thanks to the ETRA’s experts (Ecoinnovatione). We learned about the analysis, PEF (Product Environmental Footprint) approach and Circular Footprint Formula. Through an example we tried to identify the system boundaries and functional unit which are important for the analysis.
