The CIREVALC project aims to introduce and disseminate circular economy models in regional value chains, mainly concentrated in the food, catering and packaging sectors. Our project aims to increase the use of circular economy models in the operation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by improving awareness, engagement and receptiveness.
The technical implementation starts with stakeholder and target audience engagement and continues by identifying current problems and barriers. This will be followed by the design of a tool (CIREVALC Circular Community Accelerator) to facilitate the green transition of SMEs and local communities. Finally, the tool will be tested with local actors and stakeholders from each region.
The MGFÜ's tasks include community building, integrating relevant SMEs, identifying problems and opportunities for the transition to circular solutions, holding workshops, participating in the development of the CIREVALC tool and developing a Central European Action Plan.
The project is a collaboration between regional development agencies, sectoral bodies and business support groups from nine countries.
The project is funded by the Central Transnational Programme with support from the European Regional Development Fund and co-financed by the European Union and the Government of Hungary.
