The Logistics Promotion Centre (LPC) was established in order to facilitate the realization of the objectives of the Worldbank's Product Market Development Project. It operates as an independent unit within the framework of the Public Foundation for the Progress of the Industry.

 

The concept of integrated logistic management, which covers various activities such as material acquisition, product manufacturing, merchandising, marketing and physical distribution, is becoming more and more significant within Hungarian industrial and commercial circles. Therefore, there is a need to further educate the managers and staff involved in Hungarian manufacturing and trading, as regards modern logistic technologies, management and organization concepts, agreements and actions, which have enabled the industrial and trade organizations of developed countries to increase productivity significantly and intensify the competitiveness of their performance.

 

The purposes of the Logistics Promotion Centre


  • The national production and service organizations need to be made aware of the fact, that the application of efficient logistic methods is essential for achieving economic success. 
  • Co-ordination and promotion of co-operations between experts, educational institutions and logistic organisations.
  • Arousing of professional demand to logistic leading.
  • Presenting of developed logistic methods and results from application.
  • Spreading of logistic education.
