The Public Foundation for the Development of Industry was established by the Hungarian government on 15th November 2004 on the basis of Act IV of 1959 §74/G of the Civil Code, §35 (1)/f) of the Constitution and related amendments to certain acts contained in Act XXIV of 2003 §38 (4) pertaining to the utilisation of public funds, the publication of the utilisation of public property and the increased transparency and inspection of such. The Public Foundation for the Development of Industry was established as the legal successor to the Foundation for the Technical Development of Industry registered, upon receipt of the latter’s property and funds together with the Founder’s contribution, under number 637 at the Budapest Metropolitan Court on 17th October 1990.
For some twenty years now non-profit activities have been undertaken in accordance with the Foundation’s Charter serving:
• Research-development within the most modern industrial technologies and practical application thereof
• Human resources development within particular specialisations
• Logistics
• Quality assurance
• Environmental protection
• Promotion of more effective international relations within Hungarian industry
